Winter 2026 In House League

YMCA in-house basketball partnered with SCAYBA

January 8 - February 28, 2026

The St. Cloud Area Family YMCA and the St. Cloud Area Youth Basketball Association (SCAYBA) have partnered together to bring the very best in youth basketball to kids age 3 to Grade 8. YMCA In-House Basketball partnered with SCAYBA is designed for kids to learn basketball fundamentals and improve core skills like dribbling, shooting, and rebounding. We provide a fun, supportive atmosphere where players benefit from the developmentally appropriate progression of programs. The players also have the opportunity to interact with area high school teams during practice, which enriches their learning experience and skill development.

  • Shared Experiences – Traveling to tournaments and cheering together builds family memories and strengthens the parent–child bond.

  • Support Network – Parents often form friendships and connections with other families, creating a supportive community.

3. Life Lessons & Preparation for the Future

  • Time Management Skills – Parents watch their child learn to balance academics, athletics, and social life.

  • Responsibility & Accountability – Being part of a structured team helps kids take ownership of their actions.

  • Exposure to Diversity – Traveling and competing against teams from different backgrounds broadens kids’ perspectives.
